Pro-bono case for an unfortunate woman cheated by both her debtor and debt collection agency

JMS Rogers is working on a pro-bono case for a very unfortunate woman who was cheated by both her debtor of $70,000 and an errant debt collection agency who demanded that she gave them incentives, compensation and rewards to the tune of $36,000 cash and $10,000 worth of gold jewellery over a period of time before they hand over cheques worth $59,500 supposedly collected on her behalf by them. Needless to say, those cheques bounced.

The poor lady has no more money, has become suicidal and needs ComCare support just to survive as she has also sadly lost her husband to heart failure possibly from the stress over the loss of their money. We have also assisted her for a written appeal to the Istana to seek justice for her as there has been little progress & no updates from the authorities in investigating her case regarding the fraudulent debt collection agency. We are aware of the recent news report on how errant debt collection companies have been in the news media for all the wrong reasons and we strongly condemn the actions of these crooks who have brought shame to our industry.
